Level 1

This is a course of play and fun with the benefit of making you more proficient at thinking on your feet, group interaction and conversation.

Whether you want to explore being on stage or just improve your presentation or social skills, you will be encouraged and challenged.

We will focus on the core principles developed for both comedy and acting improvisation. Play games and do exercises designed to develop the analytical side of your brain to focus on simple goals while opening your creative side to new possibilities.

Tuesdays, 6:30 to 9 p.m., starting Jan. 16. 6-week course, $150. Instructor: Sid Goodloe, ENMU-Ruidoso, Room 102.

Starting your business workshop

Do you have a business idea? Would you like to explore the feasibility of turning your idea into a profitable business? If so, this free workshop is for you! Designed to give you the tools you need to start a business legally and profitably, you will explore how an idea comes to fruition, why some businesses succeed and some fail, and how planning helps lead to business success.

This workshop will help you examine your business ownership potential, area facts and figures and pre-business decisions as well as basic marketing and financial planning.

You will also learn about assistance and resources available to business owners. Presented by the Small Business Development Center.
